How to Position Yourself for Great Opportunities

In my business journey I have met two kinds of people. ‘The Hopefuls’ and ‘The Players’. We know that the hopeful ones are normally constantly seeking opportunities like bargain hunting and does this regularly. It’s alright to hunt and look for the best deals. But it’s also another thing to position oneself for great opportunities and then profiting from them.

If for anything I’d say skeptics make most of the hopeful group, sometimes they see a great opportunity but due to certain lack of attributes, they then fail to take advantage of this great opportunity. However, I’ll be talking about ‘The Players’ today.

This group is called ‘The Players’ because they know the rules of the game in opportunities and play them right when presented with a great one. They’re also risk takers and constantly profits because their mentality of the potential rewards greatly overshadows the risk involved. Here are the distinct qualities that ‘The Players’ have.

Calculated Risk.

I have seen too many people getting all excited about 4D or lottery winning potentials and goes out to buy one. As much as I’d like to say that it’s an opportunity, in fact it isn’t. You’re better off making your own due diligence in wise business decisions on whether the rewards are greater than the risk. That said, don’t be paralyzed by fear. Overcome it with your homework.

Manage Your Resources.

We all have our own savings accounts which are “to be kept for a rainy day”. Honestly, I had this mentality too and it became a cycle. Save, spend and then save again. How ironic, right? A wise option is to allocate a certain percentage for investments or business capital startups. When a great opportunity presents itself, you have the power to decide to take it or not.

Actively Watch Out For Opportunities.

In today’s world, you’re better off applying yourself by first making a short study (don’t do complex scientific research on each and every opportunity!) for a few opportunities. This is to both help you sharpen your business or investment decisions and skills; plus you’ll be already one step ahead of thousands of others.

Apart from having these valuable attributes in your character. I’d like to highlight one very simple truth.

“Hang with chickens and you’ll peck like one. Hang with eagles and you will soar like one!”

So, make the decision today to put yourself in good company. Choose like-minded friends in this awesome journey to financial freedom. I assure you that you will not only get indirect coaching but also a good bunch of mentors around to point you in the right direction always.

P.S. : Team, you're in good hands! I'm your mentor.
